The hotel, the room, the staff, the amenities are all absolutely stellar. But…on weekend nights the sound of the nearby nightclub can be heard in our room and doesn’t stop until 3am. Light sleepers beware.

The boutique hotel feels more like a large home, but not a bed and breakfast. It's a beautiful hacienda with an exceptional staff.

Can’t leave review but staff was great, property well done, rooms well appointed. Problem was room location. Room at back of hotel behind a nightclub. Mon. & Tues night I could hear a little music from club but not bad. Ended around 11pm. Wed. louder but ok. Thurs. was totally unbearable. I may as well have been there and went til around 2am Unacceptable at Youth Hostel let alone one of the more $$$ hotels in Oaxaca. Fri. was worse. Went to the front desk & comment I got was “Is it really bad?” Opened during pandemic when club weren’t open. As they opened the noise problem became apparent & during Día de los Muertos knew it was a serious problem. Still happy to rent the room at full rate. Apologetic but no other rooms open. Mentioned to manager next morning. Again very apologetic. Said were working with club to correct the problem. Didn’t make big deal when I checked out. The staff had been so nice & not their fault. Once home, I emailed corp. to complain & request refund for my stay. Got reply the next day saying they wouldn’t rent the room on weekends til problem resolved & reimbursing me was a priority.That was 6 weeks ago. Don’t know if they rent the room on weekends but I do know they haven’t reimbursed me. I not only have an issue with my room but now an issue with how poorly they’ve handled it.Hotel has a lot going for it but I can’t recommend it until they’ve corrected the noise problem. Even then, the poor handling of problem makes it hard to recommend at all
